Our Summer Plans
Will is working at Tennr as a software engineering intern. Tennr is an automation platform for healthcare operations, working to automate fax communication between healthcare providers. Will's excited to be working and living in New York City this summer!
Sophie will be participating in the inaugural class of Jones Movement Scholars through the School of Kinesiology. She will be working on research projects under mentor Jacob Haus, focusing on exercise being used as medicine in neurodegenerative diseases. She will be focusing on the SPARX clinical trial, focusing on exercise in Parkinson's Disease as well as exercise in slowing dementia.
This summer Carly Baker will be working in her research lab targeting novel cancer treatment developments in a mouse model. She is working towards her Senior Honors thesis in Biology. She will also be studying for the MCAT and taking Physics 2 at Michigan during this time.
Jacob will be moving to Manhattan this summer with Will! He will be working at Paramount on their CBS Sports Quality Assurance Team as a Software Engineering Intern. Jacob will also be applying to medical school this summer and looks forward to working on applications while enjoying the restaurants and sights in New York City!
With the support of an NSF grant, Mikayla will spend her summer under the guidance of Professor Most from Iowa State at the Uaso Ngiro Baboon Project in Laikipia, Kenya. She will develop a research project, spend time collecting data in the field, and ultimately present her findings at a primate conference in Chicago this fall. Most of her days will be spent walking alongside a population of about 100 baboons. Mikayla is excited to explore her interests in primate evolution and contribute to our understanding of wild baboon ecology.

Lily will be moving to Chicago this summer to join Radio Flyer as a Design Research Intern. Radio Flyer is a company known for its iconic Little Red Wagon, but they also produce a wide range of other products including tricycles, ride-ons, and ebikes.
